Upcoming Events: AMH&DA holds quarterly meetings on a Saturday in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Each meeting begins with updates from our advocacy work groups, which are established at our Winter meeting when we prioritize our advocacy issues for the year, followed by a speaker on a topic related to either mental health, disability or a related issue (e.g., criminal justice). We encourage you to attend these events in support of Arlington Mental Health and Disability Alliance's advocacy.

- Destination 2027: Did you know life expectancy varies within Arlington by as much as 10 years from one neighborhood to the next. This is an important group to participate in to ensure psychiatric illness and other disabilities are taken into consideration.
- Virginia Grassroots Coalition: A coalition of dozens of organizations that join together to enhance their influence in Richmond by supporting a bills across a variety of topics.
- Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth & Families has a Youth Mental Health & Wellness Committee. They focus on improving mental health outcomes for students in grades K-12.
- Civic Federation. Any community group with 20 or more members can join. They seek people to work with them in crafting questions for each panel and working to advocate with the County on improved mental health services and/or staffing.
